UlmsteadBeachIn this week’s photo challenge, we had to select a photograph that in some way means “Home.” I selected this photograph—one I took over the summer—of the beach in Ulmstead, where I grew up and where my parents still live. I got a new camera last year, and I went out one day and practiced taking all sorts of photos. This playset is one that has been around since I was little, as you can see by its aged look. I think that’s part of its charm; the beach is so beautiful, and there are picnic tables and steps that take you to the Magothy River.

It’s one of my favorite places on the planet.

  1. Makes me think of home too…and the many hours of pure joy we spent there with our delightful grand kids.

  2. It’s great that there’s some old playground equipment still standing. Here they are always tearing things down and replacing them with something “safer”.

  3. I nominated you for the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award” … if you’d like to play the awards game, the link is here! http://thelivingnotebook.com/2013/02/11/very-inspiring-blogger/

    1. Thanks so much for the honor. I did my part and played along. It actually made my day today. Thanks for thinking of me and keep on inspiring me to do better.

      🙂
