Nerd Alert: I’m Getting Excited
I can’t help it…I’m a writing nerd, and I’m a little excited.
I see the finish line…it’s there. I’m nearing completion of novel #2.
The ending is already written, and my characters have grown on me…in fact, so much so, that I’m toying with my love triangle.
It’s funny how in the midst of writing, the creativity changes, and you see a different outcome, perhaps, than what you originally intended. The voices of the characters sort of take over, and you have to go with that…to see where they take you.
I’ve done that for the last few chapters, and it’s evolved in a way that I didn’t expect.
Like others of you who write on the side, it’s sometimes difficult to find the time to write, but it’s true that you have to make the time to write.
I’ve always found painting relaxing; I have to say, I feel the same way about writing. It isn’t always easy, but it always is rewarding, because the voice has something to say.

Our Book Club is waiting anxiously! Beneath the Mimosa Tree was our most successful book, with more ladies reading it and showing up to discuss it than any other book we’ve selected. Helped to have the brilliant and lovely author join us!

Thank you so much! Not sure which path I will take–seeking a publisher or going the way of self-publishing–but I will certainly keep you posted as I work through it!
