    I’m romantic about travel. I’m also romantic about writing. Actually, I’m kind of romantic about everything. I have a really bad case of hopeless romanticism, and have been accused many times by people who know me that I tend to see the world in an unrealistic way.     I’m knee deep today in organizing for the spring semester, but I wanted to take a quick coffee break to show you these two gems I came across in my collection today. I love old postcards, and as I’m getting back to the simpler things in life, and am much happier for doing so, letter writing and postcard writing are such a great way to bring back taking time to put your feelings on paper.     Postcards are a cheap, easy way to stay in touch that do not involve you being electronically connected (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). But text messages are not something we keep in a scrapbook, hang on the wall, or display in the house. When we travel, sure, we take lots of photographs, but it’s not just the photos that we should remember: it’s the sentiment and stories behind them.
