On Creative Leadership, Creativity, and Nonsense
* * * For the last couple of years, I’ve become very interested in researching what it takes to be a creative leader. Malcolm Knowles wrote a book entitled, “The Adult Learner, A Neglected Species.” From that book I’ve conducted research on creative leadership and what it takes to be a creative leader, both in business and in our own creative lives. I’ve presented this research at a couple of conferences, and I look forward to further pursing the ideals of creative leaders. 2013 Taught Me Much
Dear Readers, What is the best part of life? The ability to learn, day by day, about people, places and things. Our minds are incredible, and allow us to be lifelong learners. That is what we strive to teach our students at Stevenson University — that the element of curiosity should always stay with you, and that you should remain intrigued and interested in the world around you. On Failure
We’ve all had those days. Those days where nothing—absolutely nothing—goes right. Those days when two submissions garner rejections. You ask yourself if you’re failing as a writer.The kind of day when your kid gets in trouble at school and you ask yourself how and why that could have happened.
