Recipe of the Week: Chip’s Zucchini Bread
Yesterday, when Leeanne, Chip, and I got together to work on the second edition of our textbook, Chip presented both Leeanne and me with homemade zucchini bread. When I got home last night, I made a cup of tea and sliced myself a piece of this bread. I still had a lot of Weight Watchers points left, and the one slice cost me 6 points. The Cookie Caused The Curves
Last night, I was knee deep in dough. I mean it. There was so much dough in my kitchen, I couldn’t see the countertops. I had two full days off this week, and while the children were at school, I made the most of it. I executed my Christmas shopping at lightspeed; I cleaned up and organized the gifts; and I made batches of cookies. I took a picture of my first attempt at Amaretti cookies. I can take absolutely no credit for this—absolutely no credit whatsoever. It’s my mother’s recipe, and this year I will be attempting it for the first time. Thanksgiving is at our house, and I’m the chef. But I’m kind of a thief, as well, because I’m totally stealing her recipe. I wouldn’t cook a turkey any other way.
